He is currently serving as Vice President of Development for Paramount Television Studios overseeing shows at Paramount+, Amazon, Apple and BET. A versatile creative who has worked in live-action, unscripted and animation, both as a network exec and a producer. An active member of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, she fervently supports diversity initiatives in film and television creation and appreciates stories told from a different point of view.Gary is a seasoned executive who has overseen development and production across tv, features and short-form digital content for several companies. Jessica is also the mother of a six-year-old son, a Spanish speaker, and comes from a multi-cultural heritage as a first-generation Colombian. She also made it to the second round of the 2019 NBCUniversal Writers on the Verge fellowship with an ATLANTA spec and to the final round of the 2022 VIACOM/CBS Writers Mentoring Program with a television drama pilot, THE KEEPER. Her short-film script, INHABITING PLUTO was named as a finalist in the 2019 Ivy Film Festival Graduate Short category and as a Second-Rounder selection in the 2019 Austin Film Festival. As a screenwriter, her most recently produced credit is for an independent feature, a sci-fi/horror film titled BEFORE I’M DEAD (2021.) Her drama pilot FROM HARM won the Television Diversity Category in the 2019 Final Draft Big Break screenwriting contest and was a Semifinalist for the 2020 Screencraft Fellowship. Her 2003 debut, DOMINOES, which she produced and co-wrote, premiered as a feature film at the Seattle International Film Festival. Jessica has produced and written independent feature films, film shorts, books, and short stories, throughout her career.
